30 Years windoor roller manufacturer, offering integrated solution from design to finished product.
Look at your old roller. Is the wheel nylon (smooth, quiet, white/black) or metal (shiny, harder, noisier)?
→ For most homes: choose nylon. It’s silent and won’t chew up the track.
→ Only pick stainless steel if you live near the ocean or the window gets soaked with rain.
Spin the wheel with your finger. Does it feel gritty or stiff? That’s a bad bearing.
→ Always buy rollers with sealed ball bearings. They spin smoothly, stay clean, and last years. Avoid cheap bushings (plastic‑on‑plastic) – they grind and fail fast.
You don’t need the model number. Just grab a ruler or caliper and measure three things:
Wheel diameter (mm) – common sizes: 18 mm, 24 mm, 32 mm.
Wheel width / thickness (mm) – must fit the track groove.
Mounting hole spacing (center to center, mm) – this is the most common mismatch.
Write these numbers down. That’s your shopping list.
Your window weight? For a typical 1.2 m × 1.5 m sliding window (about 25 kg), pick rollers rated for 35 kg or more per pair.
Golden rule: add 25–30% safety margin. A heavier window? Go up to 50 kg or 80 kg rollers.
Look at the track – is it a flat rail, a V‑shape, or a U‑channel?
The wheel shape must match exactly:
Flat track → flat or slightly crowned wheel.
V‑track → V‑groove wheel.
Round rail → concave (U‑groove) wheel.
If in doubt, take a photo of the track end and show it to the store clerk.
Nylon wheel (quiet & track‑friendly)
Sealed ball bearing (spin test = smooth)
Diameter, width, hole spacing measured
Load rating ≥ window weight × 1.3
Wheel profile matches track shape
That’s it. Pick the right rollers and your sliding window will feel like new in ten minutes.
